I noticed last night that the BP station has been torn down. Any idea what is going to be build there? It was all fenced off. Seems like a good spot for a Nice truck stop.

After the Florida Department of Environmental (FDEP) does some contamination cleanup the owner, Arun Kundra has plans for redeveloping the property.

"On Oct. 20, following what were essentially four public hearings, the Jefferson County Commission approved a resolution designating 18 parcels on both sides of I-10 and SR-59 in Lloyd as the Lloyd Interchange Brownfield District."

"A Brownfield, per Florida Statue, is defined as real property whose expansion, redevelopment or reuse may be complicated because of actual or perceived environmental contamination."

"As to what will happen once the site is cleaned, that is still being formulated, Kundra says. He is currently pursuing $1.5 million via a Community Development Block Grant that would allow him to redevelop the property. The grant, were it to be awarded, would require that Kundra create 40 jobs, which equates to about $39,000 per job."
