Description: Proposed for a fully developed 23.85 acre site is the redevelopment of a former Government Office Complex into a U-Haul Smart Mobility Center, which will include general Activity Center uses, research/innovation incubation, storage facilities, vehicle sharing, alternative fuel, and bicycle sales and service. The property contains a total of 300,975 SF of building floor area and the applicant is requesting up to 596,725 SF. The property is currently zoned High Activity Center, however, the request to convert this site to PUD zoning would allow for warehouse uses on the property. U-HAUL proposes to build up to 150,000 SF of self-storage space in combination with the proposed Smart Mobility showroom which will showcase products and prototypes that deploy smart technologies in mobility innovation. Other components of the project include a Research/Innovation Incubator (up to 85,000 SF), a bicycle sales (share) and service facility (up to 23,000 SF), FORD Chariot Ride Share facility up to 23,000 SF. There are over 980 parking spaces currently on the site. Parking will be reduced due to utilization for staging U-HAUL vehicles and products and green space additions.
