Description: The proposed project consists of approximately 110,000 SF of new Student Union space located in the northwest corner of the current Union site on the main campus of the Florida State University. The new facility will house spaces for the Student Activities, Student Government, multi-purpose Ballrooms, Greek Life, Student Lounge, meeting spaces, retail/dining spaces, and exterior plazas.

They certainly could, but the current venue has a sort of magical quality to it in my opinion. Because of the low ceiling created by the balcony, and the general small size of the place, it lends itself to some very intimate shows. And that's really awesome when they are pulling in those "up and coming" acts. Plus, the venue has an incredible history of artists that have preformed there over the decades, and it would stink to lose that.
