The Senate garage will be reconstructed at a cost of approximately $20,000,000. Plans call for replanting 13 live oaks through the plaza. Still in the concept phase, the park will include an area for veteran, military and law enforcement monuments as well as displays touting Florida’s cultural and industrial legacy, like the orange and space industries. Arbors and trellises for shaded seating areas and 67 sabal palms will be planted — one state tree for each county.
