Description: Proposed for the current Walker Park on the Duval Street side of the Florida Capitol are major plaza improvements. Two elevator towers with bridge canopy are proposed, as well as enlarged sidewalks, enhancements to open areas for events, improvements to the existing fountains, and landscaping enhancements.  

Update: Proposed is a renovation/waterproofing of the Florida Capitol's 200+ underground parking garage. The project will result in the removal of top soil, trees and other vegetation from the Florida Capitol Complex. Plans call for replanting 13-live oaks within the grounds. The rebuild of the Florida Senate Garage is expected to take 2 years to complete. 67 Sabal Palms will be planted on the grounds (1 State-Tree for each county).
